BARRIE - Plans for the new south-end Barrie high school were discussed at an information meeting on Monday night.
Parents and other members of the public - as well as some Simcoe County District School Board trustees - heard board staff talk about different aspects of the school, which will be located at the south-east corner of Prince William Way and Mapleview Drive East and cost $25.5 million.
The board has stated it would like to see the school open in September 2016.
South Barrie Secondary School, as the board has dubbed it, is in the Hewitt's Creek Secondary Plan on land acquired from Innisfil in January 2010.
