ORILLIA - In a year's time, the local business landscape will see a giant transformation.
Angelo Orsi, president of Charter Construction Ltd., joined Coun. Rob Kloostra, Coun. Mason Ainsworth, economic development manager Dan Landry, CAO Gayle Jackson and CFO Bob Ripley Tuesday afternoon to announce Costco has confirmed its intention to build a 156,000-square-foot retail warehouse in the city's west end.

The land owned by Charter and Mark Rich Homes is being sold to Costco for the development. That deal has not closed, but an agreement is in place.
